Characters and associated art from the game WORBS (aka Gumball Heroes). The game played similarly to a hybrid of pool and pinball, with collectible characters. These characters were small on screen and seen from a roughly overhead camera. Early in development the characters were meant to be mostly texture on a sphere since they rolled and bounced around. As the game evolved, we moved away from that restriction to a certain degree, but the heads are still based on a spherical form.
Other than the Valiant concept art (Jacob Rouse), the marketing art, and the base torso mesh, I was responsible for all of the work seen here. The base torso was reused across multiple characters but the hands were modeled separately by me.
Each character was a two week task which included all models, textures, and VFX for three evolutions.
